Pillars & Practices: A Learning Series for Grade 7-12 Mathematics Teachers

MAMT is pleased to offer a professional learning series for teachers of Grades 7 -12 mathematics. The series will include two full-day sessions (February 26 and April 16) as well as an evening wrap up session on May 6. Working with the support of Dr. Martha Koch from the Faculty of Education, University of Manitoba, this professional learning series will give you a chance to explore the NCTM (2014) Principles of Effective Mathematics Teaching and Learning, consider how these principles fit with Manitoba Education’s newly released “Pillars for Teaching and Learning Mathematics” and most importantly, try some new ideas in your classroom!
You will receive a FREE copy of the recently published book “Taking Action: Implementing Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices” .
Participants can choose either the Grades 6-8 or Grades 9-12 version of the book.
Workshop dates are:

Wednesday May 6 (6pm - 9 pm)
The cost is only $150 for all 3 days!
