We're looking for some amazing mathematics teachers!!  If you know someone who teaches mathematics in Manitoba and contributes to the mathematics community here as well, please nominate them!

Murray McPherson Mathematics Award

Nominate Someone
From 1962 - 1987 M.A.M.T. awarded teachers who made outstanding contributions in mathematics education.  In honour of the 25th anniversary of M.A.M.T. in 1987, the committee established this award as the Murray McPherson Mathematics Award.  Murray was the first president of M.A.M.T. and an exceptional leader in promoting and teaching mathematics.

Qualifications:
The nominee shall have contributed distinguished meritorious service in the field of mathematics education.  Criteria may include:
  • Curriculum development
  • Contribution to professional development
  • outstanding classroom teaching
  • exemplary leadership
*No member of the current M.A.M.T. executive is eligible for the award.
